In an interview conducted by popular culture researcher Christine Lötscher, Elisabeth addresses the state – and fragility – of feminism in the U.S. in light of the Supreme Court's recent reversal of Roe vs. Wade.
Discussing the representation of feminist activism and politicians in American media, she uses the 2020 miniseries Mrs. America and its portrayal of the fight for and against the Equal Rights Amendment in the 1970s as an example for the historical complexities of the movement and its mediation.
The interview appeared in the Swiss publication Gegenwart der Zeit and can be accessed here.
